Einstein was born in 1879 in Germany. As a child he was slow to talk. But when he was 14 years old, he became

clever. He taught himself math from text books. He studied hard because he wanted to be physicist (物理学家)。

In 1901, Einstein began teaching. In 1902, he went on with his study at the University of Inrich. Several years later,

he put forward (提出)his Theory of Relativity(相对论)。

To most people the Theory of Relativity is hard to explain. But once Einstein explained it very well to a group of

on a hot fire for a minute, you think it's two hours. That's relativity.

Later Einstein went to America and never left there. His life ended at the age of 76.

One day John took two of his friends into the mountains. They put up their tents and then rode off to a forest to see

how trees were growing.

By afternoon when they were about ten kilometers from their camp; it started to snow. More and more snow fell. Soon

John could hardly see his hand before his face. He could not find the road! John knew there were two roads. One road

went to the camp, and the other went to John's house. But all was white now. Everything was the same. How could he

take his friends back to the camp?

John had an idea. The horses! Let the horses take them back! But what would happen if the horses took the road to his

house? That would be a trip of thirty-five kilometers in such cold weather!

It was getting late. They rode on and on. At last the horses stopped.

Where were they? None of them could tell. John looked around. What was that under the tree? It was one of their

tents!
